If you subscribe to The Diet Chef YouTube channel then you know I love mug cakes. I love mug cakes so much that back in September I did a who month of recipes dedicated to them (#MonthOfMugCakes). The series was a huge, HUGE, success. It turns out that you guys love easy recipes as much as I do. So when the idea of doing apple crisp in a mug presented itself, I knew I had to make it.
Gahhh, there is so much to love about this 2 minute mug masterpiece!
This apple crisp is...
- Warm (perfect for those cold winter mornings that are coming)
- Gooey (maple syrupy cinnamon goodness anyone)
- Spicy (in a cinnamon/nutmeg kinda way)
- Hearty (the oats and apples leaves you feeling perfectly content)
- Quick (from start to finish it takes less than 5 minutes)
Honestly, my breakfast game has totally been changed by this recipe...
Basically what I'm saying is you definitely need to give it a shot!
If you do end up making this apple crisp, don't forget to snap a pic and tag it on Instagram #thedietchef
And of course, you can always check out this recipe, and many many more on The Diet Chef YouTube channel.

Hi, I used your recipe to make three mug apple pies minus substitute sugar. I cooked one in the air fryer, one in the microwave, and one in the convection toaster oven. They are all were delicious. The one that won the taste test was the air fryer. But I believe if I had cooked the one in the convection it toaster oven longer it might have one.
Thank you for the inspiration.
