Alyssa and I recently had dinner at a local Burmese restaurant here in Buffalo, called Sun. I had never been there before, and I certainly have never had Burmese cuisine. But I do like to try new things (especially new foods), so I'm glad we went.
One of the desserts on the menu was chocolate & banana filled deep fried wontons. They were simply divine, buuuut as you can imagine, not the healthiest.
Needless to say, those deep-fried unhealthy wontons were my inspiration for todays healthy wonton recipe
4 Things you gotta know about these wontons:
- The crunch factor - If you like crunchy you'll love these
- They pack a protein punch - Almost 5g of protein per wonton
- Warm gooey chocolate banana filling
- They're extremely simple to make - Only 15 minutes to wonton heaven
Anyways, if you've never made healthy dessert wontons before, you're in for a serious treat!
If you make 'em, don't forget to snap a pic and tag it #thedietchef
And of course, you can always check out this recipe, and many many more on my YouTube Channel
