    this-strawberry-shortcake-protein-shake-has-over-30g-of-protein-and-less-than-300-calories

The latest and greatest smoothie to hit the blog is this ab-so-lute-ly delicious Strawberry Shortcake Protein Shake! Seriously every time I make this thing I can't believe just how much it tastes like a piece of strawberry shortcake. Honestly, you'd think by now I wouldn't be surprised by these things, but I still am.

The thing about strawberry shortcake is that it has all this great sweetness from the berries themselves, but then there's this small hint of salt you taste from the biscuit that just really makes all the flavors work so well together (gah I'm drooling just thinking about it) - the same goes for this shake. In every sip, gulp, and slurp, you taste this tiny bit of salt at the end, and that's what really makes you think you're drinking a piece of strawberry shortcake.

So before summer officially comes to an end, and it becomes taboo to eat (or drink) strawberry shortcake, do yourself a solid and make this thing. And if you need any more convincing, it has over 30g of protein - but less than 300 calories.
