Healthy Menu Items At Outback Steakhouse

I've loved Outback since I was a kid, and since there's one right by my house, I eat it about once a month. As you might know by now, if you've seen some of my other healthy restaurant guides, I'm always trying to find the best low calorie options on every menu.

So, of course, I had to make one for Outback! I put together a list with all of the lowest calorie healthiest menu items that you can order. I've also included tips on how to make the meal even lower in calories. From steaks to salmon and salad to soup, this list has something for every craving!

By the way, I ordered the list from the lowest calories to the highest using the Outback Steakhouse Nutrition Calculator, so if you're looking for any more additional nutritional info, you can check that out. Now let's get into the list!

    1. Broccoli Soup

A bowl of broccoli cheese soup.

Nutrition Information for a bowl of soup:

    • 320 Calories
    • 23g Fat
    • 21g Carbs
    • 5g Protein

Outback Steakhouse has a wide selection of soups, but some of them pack in some serious calories. This broccoli soup is definitely one of the healthiest, with only 320 calories in one bowl and 160 in one cup. The creamy onion soup is another of my favorites and is only 420 calories per bowl and 220 per cup.

    2. Gold Coast Coconut Shrimp

A bunch of coconut shrimp on a tray.

Nutrition Information for one order of shrimp:

    • 330 Calories
    • 15g Fat
    • 33g Carbs
    • 15g Protein

Kicking off our list are some of the most delicious coconut shrimp that I have ever had. The shrimp ios beer-battered shrimp, rolled in coconut, and deep fried to golden brown perfection. It's so good that you don't even need the sauce it comes with, which is a good thing cause it'll add a bunch of calories to the meal.

    3. Outback Center Cut Sirloin

A piece of sirloin steak with broccoli and a baked potato.

    Nutrition Information for 5oz Steak:

    • 350 Calories
    • 23g Fat
    • 0g Carbs
    • 38g Protein

Outback Steakhouse is renowned for its steaks, and my favorite is the center cut sirloin. You can get five ounces of steak for only 350 calories and a whopping 38g of protein. It's my go-to Outback dinner when I want a high protein meal, and I'll usually order it with a side of plain steamed broccoli.

    4. Grilled Chicken on the Barbie

Two seared chicken breasts with veggies on a plate.

Nutrition Information for 5 oz. Chicken:

    • 360 Calories
    • 18g Fat
    • 12g Carbs
    • 38g Protein

My absolute favorite order from the Outback Steakhouse lunch menu is the grilled chicken on the Barbie. I love the outer char on the juicy chicken, and it's delicious cut up and eaten in the house salad. I don't even use dressing since the chicken is so flavorful, so it's a great way to save some calories.

    5. Aussie Cobb Salad with Grilled Chicken

A cobb salad in a white bowl on a wood cutting board with ranch.

Nutrition Information for half a big bowl salad:

    • 400 Calories
    • 24g Fat
    • 14.5g Carbs
    • 33g Protein

Speaking of salads, the cobb salad with grilled chicken is pretty incredible. It comes with fresh greens, tomatoes, hard-boiled eggs, avocado, bacon, cheese, and grilled chicken. It's huge, too, so I usually only eat half of the salad, and then I'll have the other half for lunch the next day.

By the way, the nutritional value is with no dressing, and my pro-tip is to get the salad to-go and eat it at home with one of these low calorie salad dressings.

    6. Blue Cheese Pecan Chopped Side Salad

A salad with blue cheese crumbles and chopped pecans in a white bowl.

    Nutrition Information for one salad:

    • 440 Calories
    • 34g Fat
    • 22g Carbs
    • 12g Protein

Outback Steakhouse really has some exciting salads, and I think the Blue Cheese Pecan Chopped Salad is a really unique one. It comes with fresh mixed veggies and lettuce, red cabbage, crispy noodles, blue cheese, and incredible cinnamon spiced pecans. Trust me, even though it's a side salad, it's filling enough to eat as a meal!

    7. Seared Peppered Ahi Tuna

A bunch of sliced ahi tun on a wooden cutting board.

Nutrition Information for seared peppered ahi:

    • 440 Calories
    • 17g Fat
    • 30g Carbs
    • 29g Protein

I love ahi tuna, and I have to say that Outback has the best seared tuna I've ever had. So, if you're a seafood lover, you have to give it a try!

By the way, I always order it with a side of asparagus for just 40 calories to make it a complete meal.

    8. Victoria’s Filet Mignon

A large piece of filet mignon on a wood board with broccoli.

Nutrition Info for One 6oz Filet Mignon:

    • 480 Calories
    • 31g Fat
    • 2g Carbs
    • 47g Protein

This 6oz Filet Mignon is the second steak on this list, but it's right up there with my favorite Outback Steakhouse meals. It's super tender and juicy, and it goes amazing with a side of asparagus for 40 calories or green beans for 100 calories for the ultimate meat and veggies meal.

    9. Outback Ribs ⅓ Rack

A bunch of baby back ribs on a white plate.

    Nutrition Information for ⅓ Rack:

    • 480 calories
    • 30g Fat
    • 18g Carbs
    • 32g Protein

Ribs are an Outback Steakhouse staple, and you may be surprised that ⅓ Rack is only 480 calories. They are marinated in Outback's spices and are melt-in-the-mouth delicious. Pair your ribs with mashed potatoes - ask for no sour cream or butter - or your favorite veggie sides for the ultimate meal!

    10. Lobster Tail Entree

Two lobster tails on a white plate with rice and veggies.

Nutrition Information for two lobster tails:

    • 490 Calories
    • 25g Fat
    • 0g Carbs
    • 60g Carbs

Finishing off our list of healthy menu items at Outback Steakhouse is the luxurious lobster tail entree. It features two pieces of lobster tail, brushed with butter and a mix of spices and grilled until golden brown. If you want to save about 100 calories, you can order it with no butter.
