Taco Bell High Protein Menu Items

While fast food chains like Taco Bell might not seem like the best place to grab a healthy bite, they actually offer plenty of high protein options that I love! From burritos to breakfast choices, these protein-packed meals are a quick, convenient, and tasty way to meet your daily protein requirements while satisfying your fast food cravings.

I put together this list to take out all the guesswork of ordering from Taco Bell next time the fast food cravings hit and you want a high protein meal. So whether you're grabbing breakfast or a post-workout meal, you'll find delicious options that are high in protein here!

    1. Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito

Steak and cheese in a grilled burrito covered in cheese.

    Nutritional Info:

    • 920 Calories
    • 44g Fat
    • 91g Carbs
    • 7g Sugar
    • 6g Fiber
    • 40g Protein

At the top of the list is the double steak grilled cheese burrito. With 40 grams of protein per serving, it's currently the most high protein option on the Taco Bell menu.

While it's a relatively new addition, it's quickly become one of Taco Bell's most popular offerings, and it's not hard to see why. This indulgent burrito has a double serving of grilled steak, seasoned rice, three kinds of cheese, fiesta strips, nacho cheese sauce, chipotle sauce, and sour cream. All that goodness is wrapped up in a flour tortilla that's topped with even more shredded cheese and grilled on top.

    2. Spicy Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito

    Nutritional Info:

    • 920 Calories
    • 44g Fat
    • 92g Carbs
    • 7g Sugar
    • 6g Fiber
    • 40g Protein

The double steak burrito's spicy sister also brings 40 grams of protein per serving. Like the regular version, it's full of protein from a double helping of grilled steak and the mozzarella, cheddar, pepper jack cheese trio. It gets its spice from added jalapeno slices, giving it a nice kick of heat and a refreshing crunch.

    3. Steak Breakfast Quesadilla

Steak, eggs, and cheese quesadilla triangles on top of one another.

    Nutritional Info:

    • 510 Calories
    • 25g Fat
    • 41g Carbs
    • 4g Sugar
    • 3g Fiber
    • 28g Protein

Start your day with this power-packed quesadilla loaded with hearty grilled steak, fluffy scrambled eggs, and their three-cheese blend, folded into a flour tortilla and grilled until golden and melty. This quick breakfast bite brings 28 grams of protein per serving.

    4. Chicken Power Menu Bowl

Chicken slices, cheese, lettuce, tomato, black beans, and cheese in a bowl.

    Nutritional Info:

    • 460 Calories
    • 21g Fat
    • 41g Carbs
    • 3g Sugar
    • 8g Fiber
    • 27g Protein

For a good balance of protein and veggies, the Taco Bell Power Menu Bowl is one of the best options you can get. It's made with lettuce, pico de gallo, seasoned rice, black beans, guacamole, your choice of grilled protein, and a drizzle of tasty avocado ranch sauce.

The chicken power menu bowl has the most protein out of the lineup, with 27 grams of protein per meal, and I like to add extra grilled chicken to the order for 14 grams more.

    5. Grande Toasted Breakfast Burrito Steak

Steak, eggs, cheese, and tater tots in a tortilla.

    Nutritional Info:

    • 570 Calories
    • 28g Fat
    • 52g Carbs
    • 4g Sugar
    • 4g Fiber
    • 27g Protein

If you want something a little more filling than the steak breakfast quesadilla, opt for this breakfast burrito version. It also comes with steak, eggs, and the three-cheese blend but rolled up with crunchy potato bites and fresh tomatoes for a heartier meal.

    6. Steak Quesadilla

Four steak and cheese quesadilla triangles.

    Nutritional Info:

    • 520 Calories
    • 27g Fat
    • 42g Carbs
    • 4g Sugar
    • 3g Fiber
    • 26g Protein

Another quick bite that packs a lot of protein is their steak quesadilla. It has grilled steak, three kinds of cheese, and creamy jalapeno sauce folded and grilled in a flour tortilla. If you want to cut back a bit, skipping the creamy jalapeno sauce will shave about 70 calories off the meal without reducing the protein content.

    7. Chicken Quesadilla

Four chicken and cheese quesadilla triangles.

    Nutritional Info:

    • 520 Calories
    • 26g Fat
    • 41g Carbs
    • 3g Sugar
    • 3g Fiber
    • 26g Protein

The chicken quesadilla is made with grilled chicken, creamy jalapeno sauce, and Taco Bell's three-cheese blend, all sandwiched in a warm tortilla.

Just like with the steak quesadilla, you can opt to skip the creamy jalapeno sauce, which will bring the calorie count down to around 450 calories without sacrificing any protein. Add any of their hot sauce packets to get some of that spiciness back for zero extra calories.

    8. Steak Power Menu Bowl

    Nutritional Info:

    • 480 Calories
    • 23g Fat
    • 42g Carbs
    • 4g Sugar
    • 7g Fiber
    • 25g Protein

Another balanced high protein meal is the steak power menu bowl, with 25 grams of protein per serving. What's great about this option is that it has plenty of added fiber, healthy fats, and filling carbohydrates from fresh veggies, seasoned rice, beans, and guacamole, making the whole meal much more satisfying and keeping you full for longer.

    9. Bacon Breakfast Quesadilla

Four bacon, egg, and cheese quesadilla triangles on top of one another.

    Nutritional Info:

    • 510 Calories
    • 27g Fat
    • 41g Carbs
    • 3g Sugar
    • 3g Fiber
    • 25g Protein

You can't go wrong with this bacon, egg, and three cheese-filled quesadillas for breakfast. It's a quick and easy morning meal that brings an impressive 24 grams of protein per serving.

    10. Steak Breakfast Crunchwrap

    Nutritional Info:

    • 660 Calories
    • 38g Fat
    • 53g Carbs
    • 3g Sugar
    • 4g Fiber
    • 24g Protein

This hearty breakfast offering is layered with bites of steak, hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, shredded cheese, and creamy jalapeno sauce, wrapped in a crunchy tortilla shell. As far as the different proteins for Taco Bell's breakfast crunchwrap go, the grilled steak has the most protein and is the lowest calorie pick compared to the sausage and bacon options.

    11. Sausage Breakfast Quesadilla

Four sausage, egg, and cheese quesadilla slices on top of one another.

    Nutritional Info:

    • 510 Calories
    • 29g Fat
    • 40g Carbs
    • 3g Sugar
    • 3g Fiber
    • 23g Protein

This sausage quesadilla is like a twist on the classic sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich, with all the same components but folded in a warm flour tortilla and grilled until the cheese is melty. At 23 grams of protein total, it's a solid breakfast option.

    12. Grande Toasted Breakfast Burrito Bacon

A burrito filled with tater tots, eggs, and bacon.

    Nutritional Info:

    • 570 Calories
    • 30g Fat
    • 52g Carbs
    • 3g Sugar
    • 4g Fiber
    • 23g Protein

For breakfast on the go, nothing beats the portability of Taco Bell's grande toasted burrito. It's perfect if you're looking for something more substantial, with plenty of protein from bacon, eggs, and shredded cheese, bulked up with potato bites and pico de gallo.

    13. Grande Toasted Breakfast Burrito Sausage

A tortilla filled with sausage, eggs, cheese, and tater tots.

    Nutritional Info:

    • 570 Calories
    • 31g Fat
    • 51g Carbs
    • 3g Sugar
    • 4g Fiber
    • 21g Protein

Another great choice for breakfast, this sausage breakfast burrito has a lot of the same components as the sausage breakfast quesadilla but is made more filling with potato bites and pico de gallo and is arguably easier to bring on the go.

    14. Bacon Breakfast Crunchwrap

Eggs, cheese, bacon, and a hash brown patty in a grilled tortilla.

    Nutritional Info:

    • 670 Calories
    • 40g Fat
    • 52g Carbs
    • 3g Sugar
    • 4g Fiber
    • 21g Protein

Satisfy your cravings for bacon and eggs in the morning with this hearty crunchwrap, filled with crispy bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, melty shredded cheese, and a drizzle of creamy jalapeno sauce. Again, a pro tip for reducing the calorie count is skipping the jalapeno sauce, as it adds about 70 calories and no protein.

    15. Nachos Bellgrande Chicken

    Nutritional Info:

    • 710 Calories
    • 35g Fat
    • 79g Carbs
    • 4g Sugar
    • 14g Fiber
    • 20g Protein

In addition to its high protein content, the Nachos Bellgrande is also the most fiber-packed option on this list, with 20 grams of protein and 14 grams of fiber. These seasoned nachos are topped with warm nacho cheese sauce, grilled chicken, black beans, diced tomatoes, and a dollop of sour cream.
