This keto bread recipe makes perfectly light, chewy, and airy bread in just 2 minutes! And the best part is that each serving of this insanely good keto bread only has 1 NET CARB!
Keto Bread Toasted and on a plate

    The Best Keto Bread Recipe

If you've been looking for a keto bread recipe that doesn't involve waiting for dough to rise and having to  knead it, you've come to the right place.

This keto bread just involves mixing the ingredients and you can have it done in 2 minutes flat! Yep, you read that right. I'm showing you how to make this keto bread recipe in ONLY 2 minutes.

Well, that's how long the keto bread recipe takes to cook. The whole recipe - from start tor finish - will take you about 5 minutes. And uhh, I think that's still pretty amazing!

Especially when you consider that each slice of this keto bread has just 1 NET CARB!

And this low carb bread is pretty darn close to "real" bread. Light, airy, and slightly chewy - this has it all. Plus, it's really incredible toasted, especially if you spread this Keto Nutella on it!

BEST Easy low Carb Keto Bread Recipe - ONLY 1 NET CARB - And made with Almond Flour!

    INGREDIENTS FOR THIS KETO BREAD

Another awesome part about this low carb bread recipe is you only need a few simple ingredients to make it!

    Here's everything you'll need:

    • ½ cup almond flour
    • ½ scoop unflavored whey protein powder
    • ½ teaspoon confectioners erythritol
    • ½ teaspoon baking powder
    • ¼ teaspoon xanthan gum
    • 70g water

Pretty simple, right? You probably have a few of these ingredients on hand already.

And if you have to run to the store, making the trip is so worth it. I have a feeling you'll agree after you take your first bite of this keto bread.

BEST Easy low Carb Keto Bread Recipe - ONLY 1 NET CARB - And made with Almond Flour!

    BEST INGREDIENTS TO USE

So, like I said, each slice of keto bread will have just 1g net carb if you use the same ingredients that I used.

And the base of this low carb keto bread recipe is made primarily out of 2 ingredients - Blanched almond flour, and unflavored whey protein powder.

The carbs in almond flour can vary A LOT from brand to brand, but this Blue Diamond almond flour is the lowest in net carbs and also the best one that I've used. It works really well to make a wide variety of things like keto pancakes and keto donuts.

As for the protein powdered, I HIGHLY recommend using the same unflavored protein powder that I used for today's recipe. And that is this Unflavored Whey Protein By Isopure.

I like it for a few reasons...

    • It's ZERO Carb
    • It bakes GREAT
    • You can make it taste like WHATEVER you want

Other unflavored whey protein powders might work, but I honestly haven't tried.

There is "soy lecithin" in the Unflavored Whey By Isopure, and it's a binding agent. So I don't recommend replacing the protein powder with another ingredient, but substituting it with another brand "could/might/has a chance" at working.

By the way, you can always buy a loaf of keto bread at the store or online. I put together a full list of keto friendly bread options for you guys here.

And if you don't have protein powder, I just posted a 90 second keto bread that doesn't require it. So check that recipe out if you don't have any.

    HOW TO MAKE KETO BREAD

The process of making this keto bread could not be any easier. It's seriously the easiest keto bread recipe you'll come across. So with that said, let's get to it.

First, add all of the ingredients to a medium-sized bowl. Then mix everything together until the ingredients combine with one another and a thick batter forms.

Next, coat a 3 cup Tupperware dish or square bowl with baking spray and evenly spread the batter out in it.

Then microwave for about 1-2 minutes depending on the strength of your microwave. My microwave is 700 watts - it's on the weaker side - and 2 minutes is the perfect time.

Finally, let the bread cool down in the dish then cut it in half horizontally, and cut those in half to make 4 slices of bread. Enjoy!

I like to make a few batches of this, toast it up, let it dry out, crumble it all up and use if for breading. I like this over using pork rinds because it's less calories and more protein.

Thank you so much for this recipe. I've made it twice and it really fills that "I'm dying for bread"! I don't use a microwave so I baked it at 350˚ for 15 minutes. Perfection. I've only eaten it with butter but does it get any better than that!?!

I'm looking forward to trying your other recipes. I LOVE that most are so simple and quick!

I don't miss bread. Rarely even have a craving for it. But my morning coffee with "toast" and butter is a dream breakfast. So I tried many "breads" some good (very complicated to make), most not so much.
      Pros:
No eggs so no eggy taste!
That small amount of sweetener (I use Lakanto) takes it over the top to a real-what-I-remember bread taste.
After letting it set a minute, sliced and toasted.
      Cons:
A bit fragile, but hey! NOT A REAL PROBLEM.
Thanks so much for this experiment. It works!

Thank you!!! I made this a couple of times and LOVE IT!
I was just wondering why this small portion tastes so much better than the loaf, which has a similar recipe. Do you think it is okay to make more and store it in the fridge? Would it keep? Any ideas? Thank you again for making my low-carb life better!!

Hey Joe...I love your recipes and I have a question for you to clarify. In the video, you slice the bread into four (4) pieces. Is each one of those four (4) pieces 1 Net Carb? I just need to clarify because it was good I ate the whole thing, lol! I think I just enjoyed a four (4) carb piece of bread. The texture is especially good toasted as you confirmed. Keep Cooking Mr. Duff!

Thank you for a wonderful bread that’s delicious. Texture on point. Didn’t have unflavored protein. Used vanilla flavor. OMG ! It was like a slice of yellow cake. With butter and a cup of coffee. Ate only half. Very filling. Thanks for all your great recipes. You truly make doing Keto easy.

I’ve made all kinds of keto breads—lupin flour, vital wheat gluten, cheese base, egg white base, and more. This is hands down the best. I love being able to have a real piece of toast! Personally, I think a generous pinch of salt makes this bread even better. Thank you! Thank you! I don’t know how this recipe hasn’t gone viral!! (Or maybe it has an I’m just late to the game.😄)

Wow! I've tried a lot of KETO bread recipes but this one is by far the easiest and best. I have even used round microwave safe dishes to make burger buns. This recipe will make 2-3 buns depending on how large you make them... and I just ordered a silicone eclair pan to make hot dog buns. Thanks Joe!

This bread recipe is fantastic!!! However, I’m seriously dairy intolerant except for hard cheese and butter. I made it with the whey protein several times, but I was miserable. So, I got some powdered egg wire protein and used it, and it’s wonderful!!! The bread is a little lighter and airier than with the whey protein. We love it.

I double the recipe, pour it out on a parchment lined small cookie sheet with sides, spread it out to make it about 1/2 inch thick, and bake it for 15 minutes at 350 degrees!

I cut it into 8 pieces. Then I slice the pieces in half like a bun.

Pleasantly surprised!!! I hesitated making because so many of these keto breads are either eggy, gritty or spongy. Toasted it was really good for my open face chicken salad sandwich. Thanks so much
