HOW TO MAKE 2 INGREDIENT PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE
As I mentioned earlier, making peanut butter fudge is super simple with this recipe. Seriously, as far as fudge recipes go, this has to be the easiest peanut butter fudge ever!
So, let's not waste any more time, and I'll walk you through how to make peanut butter fudge.
STEP 1: MIXING
First, take out a medium saucepan and put it on the stovetop over medium heat.
Then, add the peanut butter, and heat it until it turns into a liquid, giving it a few stirs. Now, once it does, take the peanut butter off the heat and pour in the condensed milk.
Next, stir the peanut butter and milk together until combined - it will thicken up and almost take on a crumbly consistency.
STEP 2: CHILLING
Now, line a square baking mold with parchment paper, pour in the mixture and smooth the surface to even it out.
Then, transfer the old fashioned peanut butter fudge to the fridge and let it chill for a couple of hours.
Once it sets and hardens, take the fudge out of the fridge, cut it into squares, and sprinkle a little sea salt n top. Enjoy!
HOW TO STORE FUDGE AT ROOM TEMPERATURE
This creamy peanut butter fudge recipe makes 12 large squares of fudge. And one of the best parts about making it is having it on hand for a snack or dessert all week.
That is if you have any leftovers!
When I make this old fashioned fudge recipe for a family get-together, it's gone before I even get a chance to grab another square. Everyone just loves it and can't get enough!
But if you do have leftovers, you can store them at room temperature for up to 1-2 weeks. First, put wax paper between each layer of fudge, then store it in an airtight container. Make sure to keep it in a cool, dry place like the pantry - you want to avoid any temperature change and exposure to light.
HOW TO STORE FUDGE IN THE FRIDGE
If you want to keep this peanut butter fudge for longer, you can store it in an airtight container or wrap the baking dish tightly with plastic wrap. The fudge will last for up to 2-3 weeks in the refrigerator if you keep it this way.
I like to enjoy the fudge as a cold treat, so I always store it in the fridge.
HOW TO FREEZE FUDGE
And if you want to keep it for even longer, you can freeze peanut butter fudge for about 2 months.
To do this, wrap the fudge in parchment paper, then in aluminum foil or plastic wrap. Then transfer it to a freezer-safe bag or airtight container.
The best way to store it is in the back of the freezer, so it's not exposed to temperature changes when you open and close the freezer. Then, let it thaw at room temperature for an hour or two until soft whenever you want to enjoy some.
WRAPPING IT ALL UP
Well, that is how to make peanut butter fudge with sweetened condensed milk. It's still hard to believe only 2 ingredients can make such a delicious fudge!
The taste and texture are like no other peanut butter dessert, and it will leave you coming back for more with each bite. And everyone who tries this loves it, so you have a guaranteed favorite if you need an easy dessert to make for the holidays or get-together with family and friends.
