This decadent keto fudge is rich, chocolatey, and perfectly sweet, even though there's no sugar used to make it! And, the best part is that each piece has 0 NET CARBS! Plus, this keto fudge recipe is so easy to make, it requires just 4 simple ingredients!
THE BEST KETO FUDGE RECIPE
If you're craving something sweet and chocolatey, you just can't go wrong with this keto fudge recipe.
Seriously, it's rich and decadent, and it has a deep chocolate flavor with the perfect amount of sweetness.
Honestly, this low carb fudge is one of the best keto chocolate recipes you can try!
And, as I mentioned before, it's sugar free and super low carb - literally it has 0 NET CARBS a piece. Plus, it's so easy to make – you don't even have to bake it.
All you need is a microwave, a refrigerator, and 4 ingredients. It's that simple!
By the way, if you're looking for more delicious low carb chocolate recipes to satisfy your sweet tooth, you'll want to check out my keto chocolate chip cookies and keto chocolate cake. Both recipes are rich in chocolatey deliciousness and are an absolute hit with dessert lovers.
That said, let's jump into the ingredients you'll need to make this keto chocolate fudge.
INGREDIENTS FOR KETO FUDGE
Once again, you only need 4 ingredients to make this delicious keto fudge.
You'd be surprised how just a handful of ingredients can make something so incredibly rich and chocolatey!
So, here's what you'll need:
- 1 Stick salted butter
- A heaping 1 ¼ cups keto semi sweetened chocolate chips
- 3 Tbsps. Confectioners Swerve
- 1 Tbsp. Unsweetened dark cocoa powder
- Optional: Coarse sea salt for garnish
Like I've said, there's really not much to it!
However, since we're only using a few ingredients, you'll want to make each ingredient count.
For example, be sure to get salted butter instead of unsalted butter. The salt in the salted butter will complement the sweetness of the fudge and add a lot of depth to the chocolate flavor.
And if you want to kick it up a couple of notches, sprinkle some coarse sea salt to amp up that flavor combination while adding a bit of texture to the final product.
KETO FRIENDLY CHOCOLATE CHIPS TO USE & AVOID
Now, if you've been following my blog you probably know that my go-to low carb chocolate chips for keto are Lily's Semi Sweetened Chocolate Chips.
And honestly, the first time I tried these, I had a hard time believing they have 0 NET CARBS because they are just so GOOD.
I use them in most, if not all, of my keto recipes with chocolate chips - like this Keto Mason Jar Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream and my Keto Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies.
That being said, if you can't find Lily's Chocolate Chips, another good keto option for chocolate chips are the ones from ChocZero.
What I don't recommend using, however, is the Hershey's "Sugar Free" Chocolate Chips. Though they have "sugar-free" in the name, they actually contain maltitol which is a sugar alcohol that is not keto-friendly.
Each serving of the Hershey's sugar free chocolate chips has over 4g of carbs per serving, which is obviously not ideal if you're on a low carb diet.
KETO FRIENDLY SWEETENERS TO USE & AVOID
As always, I recommend using Confectioners Swerve to sweeten up this recipe without adding any carbs.
But, another good 1:1 sugar substitute for keto is Lakanto's Monk Fruit Sweetener. It's naturally-derived and, like Confectioners Swerve, has 0 net carbs.
More importantly, you can use Lakanto's Monk Fruit interchangeably with Swerve. So, if that's what you have on hand, go ahead and use it!
Just make sure you don't use the Lakanto's Sweetener that's twice as sweet as sugar. If you use this version of their sweetener your keto chocolate fudge will be too sweet.
For my European readers, you can use either Sukrin or regular erythritol.
The rule of thumb for these keto sweeteners is to use a little bit more than the required amount of Swerve since they aren't as sweet.
Avoid Using Stevia
I know this may come as a surprise to some of you, but you'll want to avoid using Stevia as a keto sweetener.
I've talked about this a few times before but, if you're new to the blog: Stevia in its purest form is a whopping 300 times sweeter than Swerve and regular sugar.
Also, a lot of Stevia products on the market are mixed with maltodextrin and dextrose a.k.a. loaded with carbs and sugar.
With all that said, I recommend staying away from it.
HOW TO MAKE KETO FUDGE
As I've mentioned, this super easy keto fudge recipe doesn't require any baking AT ALL.
If you have a microwave and a refrigerator, you're all set!
This fudge recipe also keeps really well (more on that later), so you can make these ahead of time and always have rich chocolatey fudge on hand for gifting, snacking, or dessert.
Sound good?
Now let's get into the details!
STEP 1: PREP
So the first thing you'll need to do is melt your salted butter and sugar free chocolate chips. To do that, chop up the salted butter into smaller pieces and place it in a microwave-safe bowl with the chocolate chips.
Pop that in the microwave and heat in 30 second increments, stirring the butter and chocolate chips together after every 30 seconds until well-combined and completely melted.
STEP 2: COMBINE INGREDIENTS
Now that the butter and chocolate chips mixture is ready, use a sieve to sift your Confectioners Swerve and cocoa powder into the bowl.
This helps prevent clumps of Swerve or cocoa powder from getting into the batter and making it lumpy.
Mix everything together with a rubber spatula until everything has been thoroughly incorporated.
STEP 3: POUR AND REFRIGERATE
Pour some water into your bread pan and line it with parchment paper. You'll want to make sure you have some excess parchment paper hanging over the sides to make it easier to pull your keto fudge out of the tray.
Then, gently pour your chocolate mixture into the pan. To get it nice and even, you can smoothen it with a spatula or gently tap the pan on the table a few times to distribute the batter.
Refrigerate it for at least 1 hour to let the chocolate fudge set. However, if you're impatient, you can always freeze it and save yourself some time.
STEP 4: SLICE AND SERVE
Once your keto chocolate fudge has fully set, you can take it out from the pan, slice it into 21 squares, and dig in!
STORING KETO FUDGE
You can keep your keto fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator if you plan to enjoy it throughout the week or in the freezer if you want to have it around longer.
By the way, while you can enjoy your keto chocolate fudge at room temperature if you want it softer. But, try not to keep it at room temperature for long periods of time because this can lead to melting.
NUTRITIONAL INFORMATION
So, if you cut your sugar free fudge into 21 pieces, this is the full nutritional breakdown of each piece:
- 77 Calories
- 7.5g Fat
- 4g Carbs
- 4g Fiber
- 0g NET CARBS
- 0g Protein
Of course, the values will be a little bit different if you chose to slice your keto chocolate fudge a different way.
But since we used 0 NET CARB chocolate chips and 0 NET CARB sweetener, each chocolatey piece of fudge has just 0 NET CARBS no matter how you cut it.
And that's it!
I hope you enjoy this keto fudge recipe as much as I do.
Of course, if you try it, make sure to let me know what you thought about it in the comments below!

Just made this and OMgosh😲 to die for! Made half the recipe...so easy due to your inclusion of grams. Stirred in 2T pecan pieces and now just waiting for an hour to pass. Licked the spoon and whisk so got a pre-taste😉 No need to look elsewhere for a fudge recipe, so thank you for this. I have some PB2 powder and wondering if I could use this to get chocolate-pb fudge. If so, would I need to adjust any of the ingredients? Which ones and by how much?

So, I finally broke down after reading this recipe and ordered Lily’s Dark Chocolate Chips…$11.00 on line in Canada🇨🇦
One piece a day can be the “reward” all of us keto people need to really stay on track! Like Pavlov’s dog…knowing a special something is there for us can and will ward off other carb temptations!
Thank you.
And one commenter included pecans…. Oh, what a fantastic idea!

This fudge is AMAZING,!! I couldn't find Lilys semi sweet chips but I used lilys milk choc chips, (has like 1 or 2 carbs) and it turned our GREAT!! I have 1 question... why do you put water in pan before parchment paper? Thanks for the recipe can't wait to try more..
brendan says
So glad you like it!! The water is just to help the parchment paper stick to the pan
Marian says
Hi, thanks for the recipe, can you substitute stevia for swerve?
The Diet Chef says
I wouldn't recommend doing it. Stevia tends to be much sweeter than Swerve.
