    The Best Baked Turkey Wings

If you've never tried making game-day-style wings with turkey wings, you seriously need to try this baked turkey wings recipe!

They're crispy on the outside, super juicy on the inside, fall of the bone tender, and exploding with a delicious flavor from the honey and spice glaze.

And what sets these easy baked turkey wings apart from your usual chicken wings is that they're much bigger in size. So you get more meat per turkey wing for a super high protein meal.

Plus, baking the turkey wings instead of frying them means they're even lower in fat and calories, too. So these crispy turkey wings make a great alternative to chicken wings.

That said, if you want a healthy chicken wings recipe, you have to give these air fryer chicken wings a try sometime!

Anyway, these baked turkey wings are always an instant hit wherever I serve them. They make a great weeknight dinner, but they're also perfect for game-day get-togethers, potlucks, and even meal prep because they reheat so well. And they're always a party platter favorite!

Oh, and I love serving them along with some cauliflower mashed potatoes and crispy brussel sprouts for a complete dinner.

Or, sometimes, I'll even serve them with this low carb pizza, and then dip them in this delicious homemade low carb BBQ sauce for some added flavor!

    Ingredients

So, this oven baked turkey wings recipe is made mostly with common pantry staples.

And besides turkey meat, you probably have all of the ingredients on hand already.

Here's everything you'll need for these baked turkey wings:

    • 3 Large pieces turkey wings
    • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
    • 1 tablespoon Honey
    • ½ tablespoon Salt
    • ¼ tsp. Pepper
    • ¼ teaspoon Smoked paprika
    • ¼ teaspoon Cumin
    • 250ml Chicken stock
    • 1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
    • Chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
    • Lemon slices (optional)

Now, if you don't have chicken stock on hand, you can also use veggie broth or chicken bouillon dissolved in water. And if your stock or broth has salt added in, be sure to adjust the amount of salt in the recipe accordingly.

Oh, and if you want to increase the spice, you can use hot honey instead of regular honey.

How to Make Baked Turkey Wings

Ok, so these crispy baked turkey wings are infinitely easier to make than frying chicken wings.

It literally takes minutes to put the recipe together, then all you have to do is pop the turkey wings in the oven and bake. That's it! No splattering oil or difficult clean up necessary.

Also, while your turkey wings are roasting, you can use that time to prep the rest of your meal, set the table, or just sit back and relax!

With all that said, let's get into the details and make these easy baked turkey wings.

Seasoned raw turkey wings on a white plate.

Step 1: Prepare the Turkey Wings

First, preheat your oven to 390°F (200°C), and heat the chicken stock in a pot on the stovetop.

Then, as the oven is preheating, prep your fresh turkey wings. Cut the 3 large fresh turkey wings into two pieces at the joint, then rinse them off and pat them dry with paper towels.

Next, place the fresh turkey wings in your baking dish and rub them with olive oil.

Now sprinkle the salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and cumin evenly over the turkey wings, and drizzle them with honey.

Then, massage the wings to evenly coat them with the honey and seasoning spice blend.

    Step 2: Bake the Wings

Ok, so now you'll want to put the turkey wings in a baking dish and pour the hot stock into the baking dish around the wings.

Then, cover the dish with aluminum foil, making sure to seal all sides. Place it in your preheated oven and bake for 50 minutes.

After 50 minutes is up, take off the foil cover and continue roasting the wings for an additional 25 minutes, or until they're golden brown and the wings have crispy skin.

    Step 3: Garnish and serve

Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped parsley on top.

Serve immediately with optional lemon slices to squeeze on top and enjoy!

How to Store Baked Turkey Wings

As I mentioned, these baked turkey wings are great for meal prep and make fantastic leftovers. And this baked turkey wings recipe will make about 6 turkey wings, depending on how big they are.

So you can always get more turkey wings and adjust the seasonings if you'll need more!

Then if you have any leftover wings, you can store them in an airtight container in the fridge where they'll keep for 3-4 days.

    How to Reheat Crispy Wings

When you're ready to enjoy the leftovers, simply reheat the wings in the oven at 350°F (200°C) until they're warmed through. This usually takes about 15-2o minutes.

The air fryer also works great for reheating these baked turkey wings! Just cook them at 390°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes, or until they're hot and crispy.
