The Best Turkey Tenderloin Recipe
Who says you have to wait until Thanksgiving to enjoy perfectly cooked turkey tenderloin?
This easy turkey tenderloin recipe requires little to no prep time and makes no mess. Just sprinkle on your herbs and seasonings and let the air fryer do the work!
Then, after just 35 minutes in the air fryer, you'll have a juicy turkey tenderloin dinner that smells amazing, tastes even better. And top of all that, this easy turkey recipe is a healthy, low carb source of lean protein too!
By the way, if you don't have an air fryer, I also included instructions for making this turkey tenderloin in the oven.

Ingredients
The ingredient list for this turkey tenderloin recipe couldn't be simpler.
All you need is a turkey tenderloin (or two) and 6 super common ingredients - most of which you probably already have in stock.
Anyway, here's everything you'll need to make this turkey tenderloin in your air fryer:
- 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
- 1 Turkey Tenderloin
- 1 tbsp. Rosemary, chopped
- 1 tbsp. Thyme, chopped
- 1 tbsp. Fresh Oregano
- 1 tsp. Paprika
- Salt and Pepper
By the way, when picking up turkey tenderloins at the store, remember that they're not the same thing as turkey breast. Although turkey tenderloin is located near the turkey breast, it's a much more tender cut since that part doesn't get much movement.
With that said, you can still use turkey breasts for this recipe. The turkey breasts will still taste pretty darn delicious but they just won't be as soft as turkey tenderloin.
Also, I use a lot of these same ingredients for my pork loin recipe and air fryer pork chops. So definitely try those out when you have the chance. They're always a hit at our house.
How To Cook Turkey Breast Tenderloin
There isn't much you have to do to make this tasty turkey tenderloin dinner. Just season the meat, pop it in the air fryer, and flip. Then, serve and enjoy!
That frees up a lot of extra time to make sides, like the ones I mentioned earlier, or this keto green bean casserole and keto creamed spinach.
With all that said, let's not waste any more time and get right into this turkey tenderloin recipe.
Step 1: Season The Turkey Tenderloin
First, pat your turkey tenderloin dry with a paper towel, and brush it on both sides with olive oil. And if you're doing more than one turkey tenderloin, make sure you brush each one with enough oil.
Turkey tenderloin can get pretty dry, so you'll need around 2 tablespoons of olive oil per tenderloin.
Then, season both sides with herbs, spices, salt, and pepper.
Step 2: Air Fry Your Turkey tenderloin
Next, transfer your oiled and seasoned turkey tenderloin to an air fryer preheated to 350°F (180ºC).
Air fry the turkey for 20 minutes, then take it out of the air fryer tray and flip the turkey tenderloin over with tongs.
Now, put it back in the air fryer and cook for another 15 minutes.
By the way, you may need to do this in batches of one each if you're cooking turkey tenderloins for more than two people.
Step 3: Serve
Once the time is up, you can use a meat thermometer at the thickest part to check that your turkey tenderloin reached an internal temperature of 165 °F (74ºC).
Another good method is to prick the turkey tenderloin at the thickest part and make sure the juices run clear. There shouldn't be any pinkish tinge to the liquid.
Anyway, when the turkey tenderloin is ready, transfer it to a plate and slice. Then add your favorite sides and enjoy!
Baked Turkey Tenderloin
You can also make baked turkey tenderloin if you don't have an air fryer.
To bake your turkey tenderloin, prep as usual and place it on an oven-safe wire rack with a baking sheet underneath to catch the extra juices.
Bake in an oven preheated to 375°F (190ºC) for 45-50 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the turkey tenderloin reaches an internal temperature of 165 °F (74ºC).
How To Store And Reheat This Turkey Breast Tenderloin
This recipe makes enough for 2 servings and you can double or triple it for a bigger group.
You can store your leftover turkey tenderloins in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days, or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
To reheat, I recommend placing your turkey tenderloin in the air fryer and heating at 350°F (180ºC) for 5-6 minutes if fresh and 8-10 minutes if frozen.
You can also reheat in the microwave and heat in 30-second increments until thoroughly heated, about 2-2 ½ minutes if fresh, 3-3 ½ minutes if frozen.
Also, for what it's worth, the leftovers of this easy turkey tenderloin are especially fantastic in sandwiches and pasta dishes! So, I highly recommend using 'em to make those kinds of meals.
