And, honestly, Chipotle might be the best keto fast food spot for grabbing a quick, tasty, and nutritious meal while following a keto lifestyle.

EVERYTHING KETO AT CHIPOTLE
Chipotle has super fresh and healthy ingredients, big portions, and it's just insanely delicious. And having the ability to customize your order makes it so easy to create a Chipotle keto bowl or keto salad bowl.
By the way, you seriously won't believe how many different combinations you can create while keeping your order low carb and keto friendly!
It's honestly pretty crazy how great Chipotle is for the keto diet.
With that said, the options we will be going over will show you how to keep your order as low carb as possible if you want to eat keto at Chipotle.
Also, for what it's worth, I think Chipotle is by far one of the best keto fast food options out there. But, I have done a few other "listicle" style posts on some other popular chains that are great for the keto diet too. THINGS TO GET & AVOID AT CHIPOTLE FOR THE KETO DIET
So, as I mentioned, there are a ton of Chipotle keto options to choose from to create your meal.
But before we get into how to construct your order, let's go over all of the keto friendly ingredients and the ones that you'll want to avoid.
Oh, and I will be giving the total net carbs for each ingredient, and they were calculated using the Chipotle Nutrition Calculator on their website. This calculator makes it simple to find out how many carbs are in each ingredient and your entire order to ensure you're sticking to a keto lifestyle.
PROTEIN OPTIONS
Chipotle has a variety of keto friendly protein options to choose from for the base of your order.
Here are the best ones:
- Carnitas: 0 NET CARBS
- Chicken: 0 NET CARBS
- Steak: 0 NET CARBS
- Barbacoa: 1 NET CARB
So, as you can see, all the protein options at Chipotle are as low carb as it gets.
The only protein option you'll want to avoid is the Sofritas since it has 6 NET CARBS and isn't great for the keto diet. Having said that, you can order it, but you'll just be limited by the other ingredients you can add in if you want to keep your order low carb.
TOPPING OPTIONS

There are so many toppings at Chiptole that you can add to your bowl or salad. And what I love about having so many options is that you can literally create a different meal every time!
Check out all of these toppings:
- Romaine Lettuce: 0 NET CARBS
- Monterey Jack Cheese: 1 NET CARB
- Sour Cream: 2 NET CARBS
- Guacamole: 2 NET CARBS
- Fajita Veggies: 4 NET CARBS
- Queso Blanco: 4 NET CARBS
- Cilantro Lime Cauliflower Rice: 4 NET CARBS - at select locations -
So, there are some ingredients you can add that will slightly increase the carbs in your order and some that will bring the carb count up quickly.
You'll have to be strategic with what you pair together, and the examples we'll be going over soon will show you how to do just that.

SALSA OPTIONS

Along with all of the toppings, there are a few salsas that you can add to your order.
Check them out:
- Fresh Tomato Salsa: 3 NET CARBS
- Tomatillo Red Chili Salsa: 3 NET CARBS
- Tomatillo Green Chili Salsa: 4 NET CARBS
So, all the salsas will be adding some extra carbs to your order, so I recommend avoiding them so you can add in more toppings. But if you love tomato salsa, you can easily construct your order to make it work - my favorite is the fresh tomato salsa.
And you can always ask for a half serving of the salsas to cut their carb counts in half too.
Now, one of my favorite things to do is order a side of one of the salsas or guac. And to go with it, make Keto Tortilla Chips recipe in under 10 minutes! They only have 1 NET CARB per serving, so you can enjoy them with anything you end up ordering.
But if I'm really trying to save carbs, I love dipping the tortilla chips in my 0 NET CARB Keto Cheese Sauce.
WHAT TO AVOID AT CHIPOTLE

So, above are all of the Chipotle keto options that you can add to your order.
And here is everything that you'll want to avoid:
- Tortilla Chips: 66 NET CARBS
- Flour Tortilla: 47 NET CARBS
- Cilantro-Lime White Rice: 39 NET CARBS
- Cilantro-Lime Brown Rice: 34 NET CARBS
- Chipotle Honey Vinaigrette: 17 NET CARBS
- Black Beans: 15 NET CARBS
- Pinto Beans: 13 NET CARBS
- Roasted Chili-Corn Salsa: 13 NET CARBS

All of these are high in carbs and will knock you out of ketosis if you add them to your order, so just stick to the low carb ingredients, and you'll be good to go.
CHIPOTLE KETO BOWL ORDERS
Now let's get into how to eat keto at Chipotle!
All of these options are examples of different bowls you can get. Some are super low carb, and some have a little more carbs.
Just keep in mind that if you order a Chipotle keto bowl that is more towards 10 NET CARBS, you'll want to make sure you budget your carbs throughout the day to stay on point with your keto diet.
And remember, you can order any of these bowls and make my low carb tortillas to turn it into a taco!
1. Steak Bowl

If you want the lowest carb bowl you can get, order it like this:
- Steak
- Romaine Lettuce
- Monterey Jack Cheese
This basic keto bowl comes out to a total of 1 NET CARB, and it's definitely one of the top low carb menu items you can get at Chipotle if you're trying to keep the carbs as low as possible.
So, if you're following a strict ketogenic diet this is option is the one I'd suggest going with!
2. Chicken & Steak Bowl

For another super low carb bowl, order:
- ½ Chicken, ½ Steak
- Romaine Lettuce
- Guacamole
Switch the cheese for guac, and this order comes out to a total of 2 NET CARBS.
By the way, the fresh tomato salsa goes great in this bowl! And, if you add it, your order still comes out to just 5 NET CARBS. In my mind, that makes it one of the best keto menu items you can order at Chipotle.
3. Carnitas Bowl

Keeping it on the super low carb end, order:
- Carnitas
- Romaine Lettuce
- Monterey Jack Cheese
- Sour Cream
This keto bowl will come to a total of 3 NET CARBS.
4. Chicken & Carnitas Bowl
For a low carb guac and sour cream combo, order:
- ½ Chicken ½ Carnitas
- Romaine Lettuce
- Sour Cream
- Guacamole
A bowl ordered like this will come out to a total of 4 NET CARBS.
5. Chicken & Salsa Bowl

If you love salsa and want to keep it low carb, order your keto bowl like this:
- Chicken
- Romaine Lettuce
- Monterey Jack Cheese
- Fresh tomato Salsa
This basic bowl with salsa will come out to a total of 4 NET CARBS, and is easily one of the best menu items if you're following the ketogenic diet.

6. Carnitas & Fajitas Bowl

Love fajita veggies? Keep it low carb by ordering something like this:
- Carnitas

- Fajita Veggies
A bowl ordered this way with the veggies will have a total of 5 NET CARBS.
By the way, I love adding the fresh tomato salsa to this bowl too. I think it just goes so well with the carnitas and the fajita veggies.
7. Barbacoa & Chicken Bowl

If you want to add in some barbacoa but keep the carbs down, order:
- ½ Barbacoa, ½ Chicken
- Romaine Lettuce
- Monterey Jack Cheese
- Guacamole
- Sour Cream
Barbacoa has 1 net carb, so if you order half like this, your bowl will have a total of 5.5 NET CARBS.
8. Steak And "Rice" Bowl

The cauliflower rice at Chipotle is on point - keep your bowl low carb by ordering:
- Steak
- Romaine Lettuce
- Monterey Jack Cheese
- Sour Cream
- Cilantro-Lime Cauliflower Rice
An order like this with the cauliflower rice will only have a total of 7 NET CARBS.
The only downside is not all Chipotle's are serving the cauli-rice anymore.
9. Steak, Guac, Queso Bowl
If you want to jazz up your bowl a little bit along with the cauliflower rice, order:
- Steak
- Romaine Lettuce
- Cilantro-Lime Cauliflower Rice
- Guacamole
- Queso Blanco
This flavor-filled keto bowl will be on the higher end with a total of 10 NET CARBS.
10. Loaded Barbacoa Bowl
And if you want to get a loaded keto bowl, order it like this:
- Barbacoa
- Romaine Lettuce
- Monterey Jack Cheese
- Sour Cream
- Guacamole
- Fajita Veggies
- Tomatillo Green Chili Salsa
Ordering a stacked bowl like this is the highest carb bowl on the list with a total of 12 NET CARBS.
CHIPOTLE KETO SALAD ORDERS
Now, the other keto order option you have at Chipotle is to get a keto salad bowl.
The only difference between a regular bowl and a keto salad bowl is the salad comes with a bed of what Chipotle calls "supergreens lettuce blend" on the bottom of the bowl.
And the supergreens blend consists of romaine, baby kale, and baby spinach, and it has 1 NET CARB.
11. Steak & Cheese Keto Salad Bowl

For the lowest carb salad you can get, order:

- Supergreens Lettuce Blend

This basic salad order will have a total of 2 NET CARB.
12. Chicken & Guac Keto Salad Bowl

Keeping it the same as above but with one addition, order:
