How to Make Shrimp Stir Fry
Like I said before, this shrimp stir fry is super quick and straightforward to make.
And the only "special" thing you'll need is a wok. But if you don't have one, a large pan will work great too!
Now, get out all of the ingredients, and let's get stir-frying!
Step 1: Prep Work
First, prepare the stir fry sauce so it'll be ready for later.
To do that, add the soy sauce, sesame oil, chili sauce, brown sugar, garlic, cornstarch, and water to a small bowl.
Then, whisk everything together until well combined, and set it aside.
Step 2: Cooking The Veggies & Shrimp
Now, take out the wok or large pan, put it over medium-high heat, and add some olive oil to it.
Heat the oil until it glistens, then add the sliced bell peppers, broccoli, and snow peas. Cook everything for about 3-4 minutes, constantly stirring.
Then, add the shrimp to the wok and saute for 3-4 minutes until the shrimp turn pink.
Step 3: Completing The Stir Fry
Next, add the mixed stir fry sauce to the wok and cook at a simmer for 5 minutes, occasionally stirring to coat everything in the sauce.
You'll want to do this until the sauce thickens and the shrimp and veggies are fully coated in the stir fry sauce.
Lastly, serve over cooked rice - or cauliflower rice - and add a sprinkle of sesame seeds on top.
Enjoy!
Storing & Reheating Shrimp Stir Fry
Alright, this stir fry shrimp recipe will make about 4 servings.
So, if you make it for a family dinner, it should be the perfect amount!
But, with that said, this easy stir fry is really delicious left over, so you might want to double or triple the recipe. It will give you an easy meal prep stir fry recipe that's actually as good the next day - or maybe even better - as right after you make it.
You can store the leftover stir fry in an airtight container in the fridge for about 3-4 days.
Then to reheat the stir fry, there are a few ways to do it, but my favorite is putting everything back in the wok or pan on the stovetop.
You'll need to add a dash of oil - or water - to the pan along with the leftovers and warm it up over medium heat for a few minutes until it reaches your desired temperature. Also, make sure to stir it frequently to warm the shrimp stir fry evenly.
