This keto hot chocolate is so rich and oh-so chocolatey. And, honestly, it's so tasty that you'd never guess it was a sugar free hot chocolate recipe. Best of all though is that you only need a couple of ingredients and 5 minutes to make it.

THE BEST KETO HOT CHOCOLATE
When I think of winter and cold weather, there's nothing I'd rather have than a cup of hot chocolate. So, whether it's in the morning or at night with a keto dessert, this keto hot chocolate recipe is a must-have.
And I know I'm slightly biased, but believe me when I tell you this healthy hot chocolate is so much better than the one that comes in a packet. I mean, not only is it sugar free & low carb, but it has all the richness and sweetness that a "regular" hot chocolate mix has.
Plus, I think the deep chocolate flavor and creaminess of this keto hot chocolate are better than any premade mix you can buy.
By the way, this recipe is effortless to make - all you have to do is add the ingredients to a pot, and stir!
Plus, the whole thing takes just 5 minutes to whip up!
And the result is a low carb hot chocolate that is sure to become your favorite winter drink.

INGREDIENTS FOR KETO HOT CHOCOLATE
Ok so, making this sugar free hot chocolate mix at home only requires a few ingredients.
And if you've made any of my keto recipes recently, you probably have everything you need.
With that said, here's everything you'll need:
- 2 Cups Unsweetened Almond Milk
- 2 Heaping Tbsps. Cocoa Powder
- ¼ Cup Confectioners Erythritol
- Pinch Of Salt
- Optional: Around a ¼ Cup Sugar Free Dark Chocolate Or Sugar Free Chocolate Chips
Oh, and if you have all of these ingredients, then you have everything you need to make my Keto Brownie Cookie Bars or my Keto Frosty recipe next!

MAKING A SUGAR FREE HOT CHOCOLATE MIX
So, I used Confectioner Swerve to make this a sugar free hot chocolate, but still give it that delightful sweetness. Swerve is a 0 calorie, no sugar sweetener that is just as sweet as sugar! So, it's a perfect sweetener to use for the keto diet.
With that said, another great sweetener for the keto diet is Lakanto's Powdered Monk Fruit Sweetener. Like Swerve, monk fruit has no carbs - or calories - and it has the same level of sweetness as sugar.
Now, I like using a confectioners sweetener because it dissolves better in the cocoa mixture, but if all you have is a granular one that'll work too.
By the way, a second way we will add a sweet flavor - and some chocolatiness - is by using sugar free dark chocolate or chocolate chips. My favorite brand to use is Lily's, but ChocZero is another great option that you can use!

HOW TO MAKE KETO HOT CHOCOLATE

STEP 1: MIXING THE INGREDIENTS
First, take out a small pot, put it on your stovetop over medium heat, and add the almond milk, confectioners erythritol, and cocoa powder to the pot.
Then whisk these ingredients together and let them simmer for 3-4 minutes, whisking every minute or so.
After that, add the dark chocolate/chocolate chips - if you're using them - and a pinch of salt and continue heating until the chocolate melts completely. And once it does, whisk the mixture until a smooth and creamy hot chocolate forms.

STEP 2: SERVING
Now that your keto hot chocolate is ready to go, it's time to for the best part - drinking it!
So pour the hot cocoa into either one large mug or two smaller mugs if you're sharing this tasty drink with anyone.
Then top it off with some whipped cream and enjoy!
